Most of the oils and fats in dry commercial dog food are rancid due to manufacture, transportation and storage inadequacies. You may want to add some flax oil, bone meal and some mineral supp like powdered kelp or wheatgrass. A tiny pinch at each meal should be tolerated. Scrambled eggs, sweet potato and cottage cheese with active cultures (like yogurt) are loved by my dog. Boil chicken on the bone to get extra minerals contained in the bones then dispose of them. You could crush the recommended amount and stir that into the Activia. You would need to check with the Vet on this though!! You can brush her teeth to keep teeth and gums healthy and breath fresh. Are you a nutritionist? no? well stop acting like one and get some real advice. If you dont realise that a home cooked dog food regime has to be measured against the body mass (weight of the dog) then you shouldnt be trying to implement one off your own back, you should not be giving your dog pills either, it sounds to me like this is just a fad for you.
