Is this a fun bonfire birthday party?

I need a ton of ideas…
I already have:
manhunt, ghosts in the graveyard, human knot, couch(homemade game) psychiatrist, truth or dare, and scavenger hunt.

Cheese puffs, hot dogs, s’mores, soda, candy, chips, grapes, hot cocoa

Balloons, streamers, music

goodie bags, blankets and extra jackets (just in case), fire pit, table, outdoor couches and a bench, trampoline, soccer balls, chalk, bubbles, garbage bags, swing, movies, cookies, etc.

It’s in early October, birthday party for me, turning 13, only girls.

Any other ideas of fun things to do, food, decorations, games, activities, ANYTHING, please tell me. Thanks so much!
All my friends are crazy. they should love the trampoline. Plus it’s a sleepover.
Yes yes, cake.

What're the lulziest "recipes" you've seen for "family meal"-type slop?

Because apparently if it is for "family," it is allowed to be mostly salt, and combining three Kraft Foods products means you are "cooking."

Earlier this week somebody suggested "garbage meals," "basically a casserole of anything that can be edible together," and offered a suggested one that was a couple of cans mixed with a can of cream of mushroom soup, that made a sort of…soup-mess. Today somebody posted a recipe for "hot dogs in homemade sauce" which involved simmering hot dogs in ketchup with added sugar.

EW

For better or worse this stuff makes me laugh like crazy. Here is my all-time favourite in this genre:

http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/rice-puree/Detail.aspx

Can you better it?
Apparently that’s a known variant called "American goulash." I had no idea! My mother made a slop with macaroni, tinned tomatoes, and broccoli…

Re. crackers: via Newborn & Baby the other week, I discovered http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1943,146184-254205,00.html
(The thing about the "rice puree" w/salty canned soup — it’s supposed to be _baby food_!)

The last 3 Years we have had Sloppy Joes which have went over good but I am not sure if I want to mix it up a bit!
Let me know what you think or if you have another idea!

Of course there will be Cake and Ice Cream!
I am talking regular chili with beans, meat and onions.. it would have to cool for the kiddo’s to eat it if they want chili.. I will be having it in my garage and cooking the hotdogs in a crock pot..

Sponge bob and mac n' cheese?

My daughters third birthday is tomorrow and it’s a "SpongeBob Squarepants" theme. I’m labeling all the food as something SpongeBob might say (Hamburgers and hot dogs are Krabby Patties and Chum Dogs).I’m serving homemade mac n cheese as a side-what could I call it to keep with the theme?
Thanks everyone! I actually did buy the Kraft Spongebob mac n cheese but I’m using my own recipe for the cheese sauce! The names are great, thanks for your time!

Do some parents not realize the amount of sodium?

That is in EVERYTHING?? I know I didn’t until I moved back home and started cooking for my mom again. She has an ear problem that is aggravated by sodium, so pretty much everything is homemade/cooked, low/no added salt, and forget sandwich meats and hot dogs and ANYTHING boxed or frozen. One serving is like a Daily Recommended Amount or MORE!

I was just wondering if other parents were aware of the amount of salt in normal every day foods…..

And if you cut back on it, how do you do that?

Bistro name ideas…help!?

A lot of food will be homemade, mixed with seafood, the style for decor and music, jazz (swing jazz, blues, all different types of jazz) jazz paintings on walls, all from different eras.

We are also going to have a "chicago style" section serving chicago pizza, hot dogs/polish dogs, and other chicago style food" althought we will not be located in Chicago (I’m a Chicago native)

im so confused, just need some suggestions thanks!

What's your Favorite BBQ Food?

Yesterday we had lots of chicken and hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. Homemade ice cream and corn and baked beans also. My sister’s b/f made the best/tastiest part: cinnamon chicken Chili! It was unbelievably good! I never thought about putting chicken or cinnamon in chilli. I loved it! What did you eat?
