OK so my mom and i keep fighting over the fact that my mom thinks wet/homemade food is better. She says well i make it fresh ur saying fresh chicken and vegetables are not good?! and i say. I’m not saying that i’m saying that wet food is not good because it rots their teeth. Dry food has the same (I have Innova dog food) chicken, vegetables and all that other stuff. Plus, dry food is better for their teeth! My mom thinks dry food is bad so she never gives it to them. When i tell her that its better she will say, "well why is it that wen i give it to them they never eat it." i say back, "its because you got them hooked on this wet food and homemade crap!" I give up on feeding them because she is always switching their food. I like feeding them dry because it is simple and i don’t have to always get worried about going to the grocery store and having to buy all the vegetables and chicken to make their food. So in conclusion, is dry food better than Homemade/ any wet food?
BTW, the homemade food my mom makes is like a soup with just chicken and vegetables, something us humans can eat. but yea is dry food better than wet/homemade food? thanks for the help

My mom keeps thinking that wet food is oh so good for the puppies, I keep telling her they should eat dry food because its way better and your just wasting your money on wet food all the time. She will make an excuse for the puppies saying….ooh their too young its way to hard for them. Then i tell her, well soak it in something like warm water or formula. But whatever i tell my mom i always seem to be wrong. I tell her wet food is bad because its horrible for their teeth, dry food is better and is more healthier (i feed my dogs Innova). but she think wet food and homemade food is better. SO! how to i get my puppies to start eating dry food, because they are hooked on this wet food stuff from Natural Life and i really want to get them to eat their dry food and i hope to my mom will not sneak them wet food, well thanks for the help

That is in EVERYTHING?? I know I didn’t until I moved back home and started cooking for my mom again. She has an ear problem that is aggravated by sodium, so pretty much everything is homemade/cooked, low/no added salt, and forget sandwich meats and hot dogs and ANYTHING boxed or frozen. One serving is like a Daily Recommended Amount or MORE!
I was just wondering if other parents were aware of the amount of salt in normal every day foods…..
And if you cut back on it, how do you do that?

How can I eat a healthier breakfast lunch and dinner? I am a very picky eater! I do not eat any meats besides Meatballs, ground beef, hot dogs, and chicken. I love pasta, vegetables, and fruits a lot!
My problem is, my family eats pretty unhealthy and I really want to start eating healthier meals. How can I eat healthier when I am so picky?
Also, how can I avoid temptations from junk foods? I have a huge container of homemade cookies in my house and I can’t stop myself from eating at least one a day! Throwing them away is not an option, my mom would throw a fit. haha..

Im using my sister’s account , I’m 10 and I had a Sleepover at my friends house . We talked all night about why humans abuse and kill animals … We talked about those kinda stuff , then i remember getting a brochure from the SPCA ( RSPCA for some other countries ) , we read it and on the bottom of the brochure they had written how much money it takes for medication / food etc. for a cat or dog for a month . So we thought about saving our money to donate to the SPCA for the animals . So we’ve started saving money , and we also volunteer at the SPCA on weekends or holidays . So i was wondering what can i do to get extra money ? I won’t be able to go help clean my neighbors house or lawn because 1. my mom wont allow me to and 2 . it’s dangerous . Could i like make some homemade stuff and sell them ? Any Ideas ??
Examples of things i wont be able to do :
Babysit
Clean Ppl’s houses
Take care of peoples pets ( my mom wont allow me to do that too )
etc…

Until I can try and convince my mom to let me cook homemade meals for our dog, I’ve been trying to think of some ways to put a bit of nutrients into her dog food (Beneful.) I know that stuff is nasty; but my mother isn’t budging about changing. Our dog is "9 years old and has never had a problem before… when she eats people food she barfs."
Anyway; I’ve began to cook a cup of dog food with about half an egg and mix it in with a few lightly steamed carrots. After the walks I give her each morning, she gets half a cup of the food… and at night, gets the other half cup. However, now I’m wondering if this is alright to do.
Eggs are a food my dog can handle and I know they have protein. I add to carrots to try and give a few extra nutrients along with the disgusting Beneful.
Is this safe to feed her everyday? Also; is 1 cup of food for a 20 pound dog enough to fill her for the day?
Thank you!
The ingredients of Beneful is what bothers me, using fillers and such. I’ve studied what goes into dog food… and, it isn’t entirely healthy for the dogs it seems. Thats what I mean by saying its gross; because I’ve learned low-quality dog foods aren’t the best.
