1) Are you allergic to cats? If so, how do you treat your allergy so you can live with your cat?
2) What diet does your cat eat? Homemade, kibble, can, raw? What brand and what flavor? (links would be helpful)
3) Do you prefer cats or dogs and why?
4) Is your cat pedigreed (purebred) or a mixed breed (domestic shorthair)? If the cat is pedigreed which breed is it?
5) Do you use cat trees?
6) From where did you get your cat?
7) Are you aware of the dangers of byproducts and chemicals in most commercial foods, including but not limited to: Eukanuba, Iams, Science Diet, Purina, and Nutro?
How old is your cat?
9) What activity do you enjoy doing most with your cat?

Thank you.
I WANT a cat but my dad hates them because a feral one scratched one when he was a kid. Grr. AND I’m slightly allergic, and I suggested meds to help those when I asked my dad for a cat, and he said, “No, if you’re allergic to cats it means God is telling you you’re not meant to have one.” GRR.
Nice answers, everyone!

So my brothers had two female gerbils for over a year and i had no idea how they were getting treated. They got food, water and cleaned out but no playing with or training. Ive took them into my room now and our looking after them but they arnt well behaved my questions are:
-How can i stop them biting?
-How can i get them to come to me when theyre in there cage?
-Homemade toys or treats they’d like?
Is there any health conditions gerbils get? I should know about.
Before you say I’m a bad owner-Im not. I have a dog and a small animal already so taking the gerbils on has been kinda hard. Ive got theyre food, cleaning routine and i play with them alot and have bought them a wheel and a house. But i want them to be happy because my brother rejected them and they havnt got much longer to live.

So about 3 days ago my dog was eating full meals, always gobbling his food down. But he hasn’t been eating at all.. since 2 days ago, he ate a little but for yesterday’s dinner, he only took a bite and left his bowl. I tired mixing it with rice, chicken, a combo of both and even watering it down with some homemade soup (he loves those) but he didn’t even give it a glance… Also, he’s been acting very moody lately. Snapping at people more than usual.
When i put my head near his body, i can hear gurgling noises but he still doesn’t eat his food.
Please help. Should i contact the vet or is this just him being extremely picky about his food? He eats his treats when we give it to him and he chews on his bones. He has no problems with his bowels. He does his business and there was nothing that came out that i would have been concerned with.
btw, he’s a almost 11 month old pekingese male.

I have a male Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Ein (very corny, I know…) and he just turned 10 months old. He’s only about 10kgs and seems pretty small for a corgi.
The problem is… I used to feed him Innova for puppies and he loved it. He would finish everything in less than 5 minutes. But after a few months when summer came, he stopped eating… I switched him to Innova Evo small bites and it was the same thing… He wouldn’t eat it unless I mixed it with gravy, canned food, or homemade chicken and vegetable broth. Sometimes, he would just finish the meat and leave his kibbles untouched… But he would eat his kibbles if I feed it to him one kibble at a time… I don’t know if it’s because it’s summer that caused his appetite to go bad or if it’s because he doesn’t like the food… He likes his biscuits though but sometimes he doesn’t eat it either. He would just lick it, carry it around in his mouth, and bring it back to me. The only thing he shows interest in now is this chicken jerky I give him as snacks, meat, or whatever it is that I’m eating… I don’t usually give him what I’m eating unless it’s chicken, vegetables, or fruits that he can eat. And even at that, I try to limit it and suck the sauce/salt away before giving it to him. Maybe it’s my fault that he’s become so picky? He won’t even touch his kibbles on his own even when his stomach is growling. I’m desperate and I don’t know what to do.
Even though he’s not eating, he still shows eagerness to play and to go out for walks. He’s normal either than the refusing to eat part. He sleeps often though, but barks while looking at the same corner of the room every night. I try to keep him in an air conditioned room nowadays but he still won’t touch his food…
Helppppppppppppp I’m extremely desperate T.T
I will consider bringing him to the vet since his refusing to eat seems to be getting worse lately…
Any advice is happily accepted so please do help. He’s my first dog and I love him very very much…

I’ve heard about vinegar killing other insects…I’ve also heard about mixing 50% dishwashing liquid & 50% water to spray on fleas will this also work for ticks? & what about feeding dogs a moderate amount of garlic in their food does this really repel them? Please supply me with as much “FACTS” you can.
Doug0102 this has nothing to do with “cheapness” you’re a presumptious & UNFUNNY jackass! “fat hamburgers” *sigh…get a life!
Like I said “Doug0102″ you’re a prick..all the thumbs down should confirm that for you if there ever any doubt in your mind (although thats hardly likely!).
Guess what Doug?…still a prick.

I just switched from Orijen Grain free and home cooked turkey and veg to Raw food. I am using The Honest Kitchen Force and Natures Variety Chicken, Turkey and Lamb. I want to know about anyone else’s success or failure on Raw (BARF) Diets. PLEASE Don’t tell me it’s expensive, etc., cause I don’t care. But do tell me if you use commercial or do it yourself! Tell me what changes you see in your dog! Tell me how you think it is benefitting your dogs, and if you reverted to cooked food again for reasons OTHER than money. Thanks!!!!
Yes I give my dog Cod Liver Oil, (1/8 tsp) and a Probiotic and Enzyme powder added to the food. The nutritionist I spoke to said that since my dog was so healthy already and since she ate probably the best kibble there is (lol, she said if there is such a thing…) that I wouldn’t notice too much of a ‘bad’ reaction in her, as she never ate grains anyway, and certainly never corn soy or wheat.

i am starting a “pet store” (which i am running at home). I will be selling homemade dog, kitty, and horse treats, decorated dog/cat food/water bowls, leashes, collars, and more. I just need some ideas on what to call it!!
I was thinking about calling it something with “barkery” in it but then i remembered that i’m not just selling pet treats.
thanx if you can help!! 10 points to the best answer!!!!!!!!

I found seriously horrific info online about harmful pet food and have decided to give my puppy only homemade food. Take this one for example: http://www.naturalnews.com/012647.html
My concerns are:
- Should I put any amount of salt in his food? I read the labels of dog food and do not see any salt /sodium chroride.
- I strip the skin off the chicken before cooking. Is the chicken skin ok for the puppy? I thought skin is bad but online says pets need fat.
Please do not respond by telling me to feed him commercial pet food.
Thank you.
